Flor de Caña bottled this to mark 130 years of continuous rum production since 1890, and Maestro Ronero Tomás Cano — with more than 35 years perfecting the craft — hand-selected 20-year-old small bourbon barrels from the Family Reserve to build it. Those barrels aged at the base of the active San Cristóbal volcano in Chichigalpa, Nicaragua, where the volcanic microclimate drives intense heat and accelerates spirit-wood interaction, producing unusual concentration for the age.
